This is an official website of Shamim Bazil (Artist) who has been associated with Fine Arts for the last 40 years. He is a versatile personality and painting is his main attribute in which he has expressed his intellectual abilities through oil paintings, watercolor paintings, black pencil portraits, color pencil portraits and pen ink art.
Shamim Bazil professionally started his pen ink art for the well-known magazine “Alif Laila” in 1979 and has been associated with 6 different magazines over a span of ten years plus. In 1990, on the advice of the well-known poet Jaun Elia, he started painting with oil colors and did a lot of work on Pakistani culture, portraits, landscapes, impressions and abstract art. During his five-year stay in the Middle East, he painted on Arabic culture on demand. He has made more than 200 Cover Pages for poetry books of famous writers.
Shamim Bazil has a rich literary taste. He has expressed his feelings through serious poetry. He has written songs for Pakistani Films and Dramas. He is also known as a Dramatist. He has written various Serials, Plays & Telefilms for TV channels in Pakistan.
Shamim Bazil received his music education from well-known Music Director Nisar Bazmi. He composed songs for a Music Album “Moods” in 2010. Currently, he has limited music activities due to engagement in art work.
Shamim Bazil has received several awards for his services for the performing arts in Pakistan and Middle East.

Shamim Bazil is an artist of unique qualities. On the one hand he has painted individuals (personalities) working in different fields and on the other he has produced wonderful pieces of abstract art. In the case of different personalities, he created their paintings reflective of their specialties and dedications in their respective fields while underlining their such as music, singing, social working, politics, literature and other fields. He made such paintings in order to pay the personalities due tributes for their distinguished services. in his other artworks; especially in abstract art, he has exposed the contradictory situations and postures of exploitations in terms of social injustice and psychological frustrations of a class society. He has his own style, treatment and application of colours in creating and framing his paintings that either portray the life, nature and life's hidden shapes or they do reflect a future energy of life. Shamim Bazil is also a writer, poet, singer and playwright. Certainly he is using and experiencing all these mediums of expression successfully. As an artist his 'expression' speaks volumes for his good sense and talents. No doubt he seems more perfect and expressive of true modern sensibility in present time. Bazil has made title covers of a large number of books of poetry and prose on the request of contemporary writers and poets and no doubt each and every title proves to innovative and original in depicting the essence of the subjects and the contents the books and the collections contain in real terms.
